Component objective:

The objective of this component is to strengthen economic cycles in selected urban and rural areas with the involvement of all societal forces.

Expected results:

• Cohesive partnership between public sector, private sector and civil society is developed.

• Comprehensive ‘Local Area Development Plan’ was jointly designed and is implemented by local stakeholders.

• Viable new business opportunities are created and additional income and employment is generated for socially excluded/disadvantaged groups especially for women.

• Competitiveness of selected sub-sectors is enhanced.

• The number of registered companies in the selected regions is increased.

• ‘One Stop Shops’ (OSSs) facilitate enterprise promotion. Local MSMEs make use of the services offered by the established ‘One Stop Shops’.
